Ferruginous Wine.

On June 5, 1917, Marie Anne L’Allier of St. Claude, Manitoba, devised and patented a novel method for producing medical wine. The recipe included ammoniacal iron, coldthread, colombo, juniper berries, and cinnamon, which were left to infuse for at least 15 days.
