On January 27, 1936, Klara E.F. Braun of Copenhagen received a patent for a novel ear protector made of rubber, designed for use with electric hair curlers. Date of Application: 20 September 1934

On April 3, 1950, Lillian Julie Lyhr of Copenhagen patented a method for removing blackheads using tweezers with rounded rubber jaws. Her design allowed impurities to be safely extracted without injuring either the patient or the beautician.

On June 27, 1912, Mrs Oline Haagensen of Aarhus, Denmark, patented an improved process for cleaning and refinishing light-coloured boots. By carefully removing old polish and applying layered colouring and wax finishes, worn footwear could be restored to a glossy appearance resistant to water and polish.
