On December 12, 1911, Janan Lahl of Atlantic, Iowa, patented an adjustable head-rest for bath tubs. Formed from a single piece of spring wire, the device gripped the tub securely while allowing a cushioned pillow to slide along the frame without screws or fasteners.

On June 26, 1917, Jennie Kelley of Chicago was awarded a patent for a wheeled golf bag, which eliminated the inconvenience of carrying heavy clubs on players’ shoulders and ensured the clubs remained stable when not in motion.

On July 27, 1937, Jozefa Olympia Armfelt of Kulla, Sweden, patented a device for moistening envelopes and other gummed surfaces. The device used a water-filled container with a wick in a bent or angled tube that automatically delivered just the right amount of moisture, preventing spills or over-wetting while remaining simple and easy to manufacture.

On September 21, 1904, Julie Beaudeneau of Paris was granted a patent for inventing a new fabric decoration process. Her innovative method allowed for the layering of colors in ways that were previously impossible with traditional printing techniques.

On October 21, 1902, Kora May Johnson of New York patented a hose-supporter designed to grip stockings securely without tearing them. Her design used a receiving piece with guiding channels and a flexible-tipped bar that slid into place, locking the stocking gently but firmly between the two parts.

On June 20, 1916, Leila M. Taylor of Salem, Massachusetts, was granted a patent for a novel container designed for small, pointed instruments. Her invention was specifically intended for dental broaches and provided a convenient and aseptic storage solution.

On May 28, 1940, Lela E. Booher of New York was granted a patent for a new vitamin concentrate. Her invention featured a complex of vitamin B₁ and G, formulated through an advanced extraction and absorption process to enhance well-being.

On March 28, 1950, Lela M. Sherman of Dewey, Illinois, was granted a patent for a novel gauge. Designed to measure angles and bevels accurately, it featured a ruler, a pivoting protractor, and built-in levels for precise alignment.
