On November 19, 1929, Aida J. Slate of Sudan, Texas, patented a two-piece garment for motorists that could be quickly slipped over regular clothing and worn in different configurations. On September 13, 1949, Aida T. Beall of Baltimore, Maryland, received a patent for an adjustable garment form designed to help users fit or alter dresses at home. Made of multiple sections joined by removable fasteners, the form could be expanded, reduced, or fully disassembled for compact storage.

On July 4, 1896, Alberta Beatrice Lewis, Gentlewoman of Maida Vale, London, was granted a patent for a novel device designed to keep a bicycle upright when at rest. The forked apparatus could be mounted to the bicycle frame, helping ladies and beginners gain confidence while learning to ride.

On March 15, 1949, Alberta Johnson of Old Westbury, New York, was granted a patent for an innovative animal toiletry facility. Her design featured a stationary fixture that allowed animals to mount a platform where their excreta could be flushed away, thereby improving the sanitary conditions of public lawns and parks.

On April 20, 1886, Alberta Mary Frances Caspar of London was granted a patent for developing a novel method to imitate stained glass. The invention included an adhesive surface designed to be applied directly to glass and a compound to preserve the coloring without alteration.

On July 15, 1947, Albertina Kaegi of Zurich obtained a patent for a circular cooking-vessel accessory that used a rotating scraper to loosen food from the sides. The scraper was guided along the rim and designed with enough flexibility to adapt to slight imperfections in the vessel’s shape.

On June 27, 1939, Albina Cerveny of Highland Park, Michigan, was awarded a patent for developing a novel brake indicator. Her invention alerted drivers when the emergency or parking brake was still engaged as the engine started, helping to prevent damage to the vehicle and improve safety.

On September 4, 1917, Albina J. Cunningham of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, was awarded a patent for inventing a unique spoon holder. Designed to be attached to the edge of furniture, her device securely held a spoon in place, preventing it from falling.
